Seeking a civil construction and maintenance worker who can operate heavy rigid tipper trucks, load shifting plant & other minor plant/equipment. ABOUT THE POSITION AND YOU:- A fantastic development opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, energetic and outcome driven Truck Driver / Grader Operator to work in the civil construction team on various construction / maintenance projects / works programs operating various machinery & equipment. CORE REQUIREMENTS:- The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a commitment to customer service and teamwork as well as be competent in the following duties:

  • Road reconstruction, carparks & drainage.
  • Operation of major & minor plant & equipment.
  • Preventative maintenance on tools & equipment.
  • Be prepared to carry out multi—skilled functions as directed by the Corporate Leader.
Essential Criteria:-
  • Class HR Drivers Licence
  • Current Work Zone Traffic Management accreditation
  • Licensed in the operation of Front End Loaders (LL), Excavator (LE) Grader
  • White Card
  • Civil Construction Certificate 3
  • Experience operating / driving heavy tipper trucks, front end loaders, excavators and graders
  • Experience towing trailers up to and exceeding 9000kg
It is also essential that the successful applicant has a current DHS General Employment Probity check or the willingness to obtain one. Applicants will have a strong customer / work service ethic, sound knowledge of construction and maintenance practices related to the municipal environment and a commitment to developing collaborative working relationships at all levels within the organisation.
