Wage: $42,000 per annum, plus superannuation

Length of role: Full time / 38 hours a week (ongoing)

Company info: Studio Destruna is a startup Melbourne-based 3D animation studio producing the first season of a cel-shaded show DESTRUNA - featuring AAA voice talent.

Job info: We are looking for a highly capable and self-motivated 3D rigger to work with a small team using Maya and Python with knowledge in character and creature rigging.

The position is responsible for (but not limited to):

• Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
• Creating expressive animations. Strong emphasis on character performance, facial expressions & attention to following our current animation style
• Problem solving skills within a team to create solutions for various technical and aesthetic issues
• Strong R&D skills to maintain best work practices & pipeline efficiencies
• Ability to work independently but also collaborate with members of the team to assist each other with problems and quality ensure each others work
• Positive, go-getter attitude with a passion for making things
• Interpersonal, social, and communication skills, with a desire to work closely with other professionals in a team setting
• Ensuring projects are finished on deadlines and contribute to an efficient pipeline

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Preferably degree(s) in animation and/or games, screen & media
• A current online portfolio (Sketchfab/Artstation/etc) which demonstrates advanced knowledge in Maya/Python and other relevant 3D software
• Highly developed organisational skills, efficient and great attention to detail
• Role versatility as required
• A ‘can do' attitude to tackle challenges large and small
• A love of learning and growth mindset
• The ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent time management skills
