About The Role

We are currently seeking to employ an experienced Supervisor with Structures/Bridges experience to work on our flagship public infrastructure project, based south of the river in Perth, WA. Reporting to the Superintendent, you will be responsible for supervising subcontractors to ensure assigned work within the area conforms to safety, quality and time requirements and stays within planned milestones and budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the company’s safety policies, quality systems, current codes, standards, operation and maintenance manuals, specifications, drawings etc.
  • Co-ordination of Sub-Contractors and suppliers as they relate to the works. Refer contractual issues to the Superintendent or Construction Manager for action.
  • Provide feedback on scheduling of materials for action by the relevant Engineer.
  • Planning and co-ordination of the works. Report against planned activities. Liaise with Superintendent/Engineers in the overall co-ordination of the works.
  • Ensure that records and documents are filed in accordance with the contract filing system.
  • Ensure that non-conformances are being recorded and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Ensure that measuring and testing equipment required for the work area is properly identified, calibrated, adjusted and labelled.
  • Ensure that all processes are carried out by qualified tradesmen in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Maintain traceability records as required.
  • Provide design and constructability input.
  • Carry out purchasing and cost coding in accordance with purchasing procedure and limits of authority, including goods received on delivery dockets.
  • Ensure plant and equipment is inspected, used and maintained in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Carry out worksite inspections and ensure appropriate housekeeping is carried out in work areas.

You will have

A substantial amount of experience in a Supervisor structures role on major road projects in Australia with MRWA experience preferred. You will also demonstrate along with a high level of commitment to project industrial safety and have a collaborative approach to leadership with an ability to manage a team of subcontractors effectively to meet project requirements.
