Full Time Employment

Salary: $90 - 100K per annum

MK Building Group is a high-end custom builder, focused on dual occupancies and developments with a basement. We embrace unique and creative designs and enjoy the challenges they bring.

We are seeking a highly motivated, proactive and diligent Project Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be managing 3-5 architecturally designed residential developments and reporting directly to the company directors. You will be planning, organising and coordinating the construction of residential projects in the Eastern suburbs.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Assessing and interpreting architectural and engineering plans, specifications, quotes
  • Developing project logistics and programs in line with building contract
  • Coordinating with Site Supervisor project’s labour resources, procurement and delivery of required materials, plant and equipment across multiple projects
  • Resolving issues on construction sites & consulting architects, engineers and other professionals to insure design intent is respected in line with building regulations
  • Managing change orders and negotiating with building owners, property developers and subcontractors involved in the construction process to ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Overseeing subcontractors’ work and ensuring adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safety
  • Ensuring health, safety and environmental risk controls are implemented
  • Coordinating service applications, building inspections by RBS and local authorities
  • Regularly reporting on project progress and potential issues

Experience & Skills:

  • Ability to interpret construction documentation with high attention to detail
  • A thorough understanding and knowledge of NCC and VIC building standards
  • Degree qualified: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Construction Management or equivalent
  • Certificate IV in Health and Safety (preferable)
  • Previous experience in designing and preparing construction documentation (preferable)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction project coordination/management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
  • Proficiency in Databuild
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • High organisational skills with outstanding time management
