Our large NSW State Government client works with Aboriginal and Indigenous communities to ensure they have access to affordable, quality housing. They are currently seeking a Program Coordinator with Construction Industry experience to join their growing team in Parramatta with the opportunity to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 5-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.

Working within a Project Management Office environment you will be required to provide a wide range of project and administrative support services to assist the Strategic Finance and Asset Management Business Unit in achieving Construction program goals

In this rewarding role, you will be undertaking the following duties:

  • Deliver high level professional customer service to support program delivery
  • Contribute to the planning, maintenance and delivery of multiple projects
  • Provide a wide range of project management and support services to the PMO
  • Track, monitor, and report on project status, updates, milestones, budgets and deliverables
  • Undertake research and analysis, gathering and collating data
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on all aspects of project including risk, contingency management, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives on behalf of the entire program
  • Maintain risks and issues registers
  • Generate data and reports for statutory requirements
  • Report findings and make recommendations to support informed decision-making outcomes
  • Generate and prepare project documentation including plans, scope, reports, discussion papers and briefs
  • Work collaboratively with multiple project groups, stream leads, project managers and other stakeholders to assist in the success of program delivery
  • Drive stakeholder communication, coordinating working groups, committees and consultation, facilitating exchange of information
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and committees
  • Preparing high level documentation including meeting minutes, agenda’s, correspondences, briefing notes, action items, requests for information and Ministerial's
  • Assist with adhoc project duties including the integration of PMO365
  • Records and database management, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and high integrity
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements

To be successful in this great assignment you will have the following: 

  • Previous experience within a PMO Environment essential
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Project Management or equivalent discipline
  • Housing or Construction Industry experience highly advantageous
  • Previous experience working within a complex or sensitive environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal cultural beliefs and attitudes
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Superior organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Word, Excel and TRIM
  • Solid analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Reliable internet access and ability to work remotely
  • Takes initiative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid NSW Driver’s license
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
