Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, customer focused Site Supervisor to join a residential building company in the Illawarra region.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- General day to day running of the building site, reporting to director.
- Leadership of small site team, managing apprentices.
- Ability to take initiative and manage day to day operations on site with the required attention to detail whilst simultaneously working on the tools and leading by example.
- Supervision and management of any subcontractors. This will include site safety, productivity, quality and staff performance in line with Industry and company standards.
- Effective communication with clients, trades and staff.
- Ensuring all site staff are meeting expected performance, safety, quality and business culture standards.
- Inspect work to ensure it meets plans and relevant building codes.
- Ensuring all WH&S requirements are being met.
- Scheduling of project to ensure subcontractor and staff efficiency and deadlines are being met.
- Identifying and problem solving any issues arising on site.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience running residential sites.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong client focus with a flexible ‘can-do’ attitude.
- A mature and reliable attitude and exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated understanding of current legislation and safety requirements, ensuring a clean site and WH&S requirements are being met at all times.
- Proven ability to ensure site staff are meeting performance expectations and standards.
- Strong organisational, decision making and time management skills with a strong work ethic and willingness to get the job done, to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Passion, enthusiasm, responsibility and pride in what you do.
- Ability to follow company policies, systems and procedures.
- Certificate III in Carpentry and Construction.
- Must have NSW Drivers License and own vehicle.
- Must have OH&S White Card.
- Must have own tools.
