Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will be responsible for:

· Working to a delivery schedule – meeting deadlines and ensuring all tasks are completed correctly and on time.

· Loading and unloading trucks

· Maintaining the forklift

· Keeping the yard organised and safe

· Maintaining storeroom / store areas along with stock levels

· Correctly preparing loads for dispatch

· Unloading goods and materials received

· Restocking yard / warehouse where appropriate

· Driving / operating a forklift

Skills & Experience required to be successful:

· Forklift Licence

· White card

· Driver’s licence and own transport

· Experience strapping, loading/unloading (preferably frames and trusses) to/from trucks using forklift

· Experience driving /operating a forklift (e.g. former forklift driver or storeman)

· Experience as a labourer in a construction or warehouse background is also considered desirable - along with any familiarity with power tools

· Keen attention to detail

· Strong reading and writing skills

· Strong ability to meet deadlines

· Strong organisational and time management skills

· Ability to think laterally, analyse, and problem solve

· Ability to maintain a safe work environment

· Positive, team player attitude

· Physically capable of manual labour
