LO Licensed Forklift Operator / Warehouse

• LO Forklift license preferred - LF Forklift license as a minimum

• LO Forklift Operator rises ups in the air 10 meters high with the pallet to store it in the high bay narrow isle pallet racking
• Please provide copies of all current licences /certificates
• Our workplace is in West Heidelberg, only candidates with their own transport and live within 40 minutes of our workplace will be considered
• The workplace is a modern plastics production facility next to a 10 meter High bay pallet racking warehouse with 1500 pallets spaces
• High Bay Narrow Isle forklift operational experience preferred but not necessary
• Immediate start- Casual with a view to Permanent full time 38 hour week
• Overtime available orders dependent
• Hours 7.30am to 3.30pm Mon, Tue ,Wed ,Fri and on Thu 7.30 am to 4pm
• On the job training will be provided
• Safety gear and hand tools as job demands are provided
• Must be able to count accurately, write legibly with mid-level computer skills preferred
• Must be keen to work and a good time keeper
• Bulk of the work is pulling pallets , part pallets, consolidating goods and preparing goods for shipping
• Some heavy lifting involved handloading/unloading of shipping containers with products produced in house + Imported
• Inwards and outwards goods experience advantageous but not necessary
• Ability to follow direction/instruction from Supervisors/Managers
• Ability to adhere to OHS requirements + follow SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Must be able to follow direction + work as part of a small team
• This position requires constant interaction with other team members and supervisors
• It is a fast past environment with continually shifting Priorities
• Flexibility to perform other production line type tasks should production demand
• Paying above C12 rate

Job Duties:

• Load and unload trucks
• Move and stack materials
• Keep production lines supplied with empty containers and packaging materials as needed
• Spot semi-trailers
• Rotate floor stock
• General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned
• Follow forklift operating guidelines and procedures
• Use warehouse management software
• Receive/process shipments
• Perform proper forklift inspection, minor servicing and repairs as necessary
