JOB DESCRIPTION

Automotive Technician (Heavy Diesel Mechanic)

We are looking for a fully qualified & experienced diesel mechanic to join our small friendly team in Pakenham to service and repair a variety of different makes and models of trucks and trailers.

We are focused on providing quality work and honest, personalised customer service.

Your duties will include:

  • Servicing and repairing trucks and trailers
  • Carrying out repairs and maintenance
  • Roadworthy repairs
  • Diagnosing faults
  • General welding repairs
  • General electrical repairs

Skills and Experience:

  • Completed Australian trade qualification in diesel mechanics
  • Current Australian heavy vehicle driver’s licence
  • Experience using scan tools an advantage but not essential
  • Welding experience preferred
  • Auto electrical experience preferred
  • High standard of workmanship and sound mechanical knowledge
  • Reliable and punctual with good work ethic
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Licensed Vehicle Tester licence an advantage.
