About Naval Group Australia:

Naval Group is a European leader in naval defence. As an international high-tech company, Naval Group uses its extraordinary know-how, unique industrial resources and capacity to arrange innovative strategic partnerships to meet its customers' requirements.

As the international design and build partner for Australia's Future Submarine Program, Naval Group is playing a critical role in the design and construction of 12 regionally superior submarines that will keep Australia's shores secure for decades to come. Naval Group in Australia is entering a very exciting phase and we are looking for people who want to work on and be part of this exciting program - the largest single naval procurement program in Australia's history. As part of the Naval Group team, you will be challenged. You will grow professionally. And you will work alongside some of the brightest technical minds that Australia and France have to offer.

What are we looking for:

Live and work in France as a Structural Technician working on the Future Submarine Program in a role contributing to the design studies of the submarine structures.

Adelaide / France (Cherbourg)

  • Live and work in France for 3 years
  • Commencing January 2021
  • Must be an Australian citizen

Naval Group Australia (NGA) has one singular focus - to design and build 12 state-of-the-art submarines for our country.

We now need Structural Technicians to live and work in France for an initial 3 year period before transferring back to Adelaide, Australia thereafter. These Technicians will be part of the Structural Engineering Team responsible for the design studies of the submarine structures including pressure hull and non-resistant structures.

The specific focus of this role is to become an integrated member of the Naval Group France Design Team in Cherbourg. In this role, the focus will be to master the submarine design elements in the nominated field and to return to Australia to carry out the role autonomously. As we continue this complex undertaking, the opportunity exists to contribute to a program of national significance and work with some of the brightest engineers in both France and Australia.
