You will hold extensive electrical experience within a large and complex working environment. Being able to explain technical information and concepts regarding operation of the technology to users is key, so being an effective communicator is vital. As a team player who can actively promote a safe working environment will ensure that all health and safety standards are followed.
About The Role
Acacia Prison is currently the largest prison in Australia, accommodating 1,525 male medium-security prisoners. Acacia has a focus on providing prisoners with educational, training and work opportunities that improve their chances of sustainable employment on release into the community.
Reporting to the Facilities Management Supervisor you will carry out necessary repairs to plant and equipment including electromechanical services, essential power & lighting systems, communication systems and fire protection. You will also undertake and support team activity in diagnostics and fault finding where required and report findings to ensure Health and Safety standards are met.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will
- Demonstrate the highest levels of personal and professional integrity and ethical behaviour.
- Hold a valid electrical license issued by the Electrical Licensing Board
- Demonstrate extensive experience within an electrical maintenance position in a large and complex environment
- Ability to explain technical information and concepts regarding operation of the technology to non-technical users
