CNC Workshop Manager required for a Manufacturing company based in Brisbane's Western Suburbs.

Client Details

Our Client is a leading Manufacturing and Engineering business. They are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead and coach a team of machinists and apprentices.

Description

• Oversee all fabrication activities
• Manage a team of 8 machinists
• Maintenance of machinery and equipment
• Plan work and interpret technical and design specifications.
• Ensuring adequate material available for workload
• Review SOPs and safety policies and procedures
• Continuous Improvement lead
• Project management and scheduling
• Customer quoting and interaction

Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• Trade qualified Fitter & Turner or Machinist
• Supervisory experience
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering plans
• Ability to train & coach others
• Excellent communication skills
• Solid understanding of OH&S
• Computer literate
