POSITION DETAILS:

Position Title: Auto Electrician / AC Mechanic

Reports to: Supervisor

Division: Operations

Function: Site Based

Prepared / Revised on: November 2019

POSITION PURPOSE:

Installing, repairing, wiring, and maintaining of all electrical and AC components found in different vehicles and plant.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description

Safety & Environment

o Communicate openly and honestly with team members, WAFMS and client representatives

o Ensure fitness for work

o Compliance with legislation, codes of practice, standards

o Be familiar and comply with the client site SHMS

o Actively participate in HSEQ discussions, toolbox and other meetings.

o Raise HSEQ issues as soon as practicable, and immediately in the instance of unsafe conditions or

incidents

o Actively participate in HSEQ induction, training and awareness sessions

o Actively participate in risk assessment (eg. JSEA, Take 5/SLAM, etc)

o Ensuring compliance with Customer issued Procedures, Work Instructions, Permits, etc

o Ensure work quality is of a standard that meets the site specifications

o Work safely within team and promote safe behaviours

Job Specific

o Auto electrical and auto air conditioning repairs on light vehicles, medium vehicles, heavy vehicles,

construction equipment, mining equipment and various types of earthworks and agricultural

equipment.

o Some minor mechanical repairs as associated with electrical and air conditioning components

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

o Working autonomously

o Travelling to and from work sites

o Procurement of parts

o Be able to work as part of a team

o Able to take directions to complete set tasks.

o Site work when required

Qualifications

• Qualified auto electrician
• Auto air conditioning mechanic

Skills / Experience

• Ability to work to deadlines
• Prior experience in a similar role
• Specific site induction
• Preemployment medical
• National police check
