Our client is a well-established and national transport company who maintain their own heavy vehicle transport fleet.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Diesel Mechanic/Fitter to join their workshop in Wacol.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager your main responsibilities:

Maintenance and repair for all vehicles

Maintain all materials and tools ready for use

Contribute to providing quality workmanship to enhance reliability of vehicles

Maintain weekly/monthly schedules

Carry out mechanical repairs

Carry out diagnositics

Provide support to various teams and able to comply with safety standards

You must possess the following:

Trade Qualifications as a Mechanic/Fitter

Current manual drivers licence

HR licence an advantage,

Experience with repairs and maintenance of trucks and trailers

Experience with diagnositic repairs

Able to problem solving and coordination skills

Tempoary to Permanent opportunity to join a team environment where all the tools of the trade are provided for you. Clean workshop with an importance on safety. Onsite parking provided. Hourly rate is $34 per hour + super + overtime across Monday to Friday. Hours of work are between 7am-3.30pm.
