UGL's Renewable Division is a leader in the delivery of Australian renewable energy projects.

Our role starts early in the lifecycle, supporting developers, then moving to the delivery of engineering, procurement and construction services. Once complete, we then provide operational and maintenance support.

About the role:

We currently have opportunities for 10X Electricians to commence work on a large Battery Energy Storage Solutions facility in Eastern Creek, Western Sydney. This customer focussed role is responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing faults, repairs, testing, commissioning and certifying all electrical equipment and appliances to specification.

Responsibilities and accountabilities include but not limited to:

  • Ensure a safe working condition is present for all employees, contractors and visitors;
  • Install electrical equipment such as but not limited to switchboards, control panels, switchgear, fittings, cabling, earthing systems, and control systems;
  • Test and commission of electrical systems; and
  • Complete certification for completed works and issue a certificate of compliance.


Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Trade qualified electrician;
  • Capable of obtaining qualifications to work at heights and in confined spaces;
  • Ability to learn to develop wiring diagrams that are accurate and easy to read by others;
  • Ability to learn to read complex drawings and interpret requirements;
  • Capable of working at heights and in confined spaces;
  • Ability to deliver work on time, and on budget to customer and team expectations;
  • Ability to work unsupervised or requiring minimal supervision; and
  • Leadership capabilities.
