Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Structural Drafter to join the Infrastructure group in our Transportation & Logistics team in Melbourne.

Due to this growth, we are looking for a Junior Structural Drafter to be part of an engineering team providing engineering services to large and small projects.

Our knowledge of infrastructure includes aviation, highways, and bridges, planning and advisory services, ports, rail and transit, tunnels, and water. Want to be part of the creation and construction of our cities? Then the infrastructure team is for you!

As The Successful Candidate, You Will

  • Structural Engineering diploma (N Dip) or equivalent (civil/structural)
  • Drafting experience within the Infrastructure sector for an engineering consultancy or government organization
  • Understanding of Australian standards; as well as statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Working knowledge of state road/rail authority design criteria for bridges in particular for Vicroads, VicTrack, TfNSW & RMS will be highly regarded
  • Experience working in Microstation
  • Excels in a team environment and has well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • A capacity and desire to learn, and to learn quickly whilst working in the project environment
  • Attention to detail and lateral thinker
