The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for the maintenance of pumps, welding and troubleshooting of plant equipment and machinery. Your responsibilities will also include:

• Fault/maintenance diagnostic activities and complete repairs to ensure continuous operation
• Overhaul and maintenance of pumps, heat exchangers and valves
• Ability to work overtime in case of break down and plant shutdown as required
• Carry out all planned and unplanned maintenance activities
• Undertake maintenance tasks, overhaul and maintenance of equipment
• Recommend and implement improvements to plant and work practises
• Participate in call outs/breakdowns of plant and equipment
• Clean and maintain the condition of workshop and spare parts store

Skills and experience you will bring

• Mechanical Fitter qualification/ Certificate III in Engineering (highly regarded)
• Forklift license and EWP license (highly regarded)
• Strong background in maintenance, servicing and repairs
• Fabrication and welding skills (Tig, Mig, Arc and Oxy Acetylene Welding & Cutting) (highly regarded)
• Experience in fitting and troubleshooting in a production / industrial environment
