One of our clients, a well-known entity in the Western Australian Mining Industry, is seeking the services of an experienced Excavator/ All Round Site Trainer to join the Chandler Macleod Team on their Site and Build Your Career with a Leading Mining Contractor.

Macmahon is a leading Australian contract mining company delivering an end to end service offering to clients throughout Australia and Southeast Asia. With extensive experience in both surface and underground mining operations, Macmahon offers exciting opportunities for career growth across a range of locations and commodity sectors.
Macmahon are currently seeking expressions of interest for an Excavator/ All Round Site Trainer to join the team out at Tropicana.

Requirements for the role that are deemed mandatory includes:

  • Certificate IV TAE40116 Qualification
  • Min 5 years Surface mining experience
  • Min 2 years Trainer experience
  • 600T Production Excavator experience
  • D10T Dozer Experience
  • 24M Grader Experience
  • 992K Wheel Loader
  • Mechanical and Electric Truck experience
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values; and
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence.


Desirable experience includes:

  • Experience with underground operations
  • Experience with drill and blast operations
  • Experience with workshop operations
  • Experience with immersive simulator
  • Experience with site and safety induction facilitation


Candidates must also be able to:

  • Work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug Screen
  • Provide a current National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one
  • Provide a current WA Drivers Licence
