DIESEL MECHANIC

$32.00 per hour

Able Bus and Coach is looking for a Diesel Mechanic with sound electrical knowledge to work on a custom-built buses in a spacious workshop.

Must be a good communicator, Is self-motivated, Pays attention to detail, Competent with required tools and equipment.

Have previous experience and certificate of qualification.

Tasks Include

• detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
• dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
• repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
• performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulation
• reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
• Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems
• You must be able to fit electrical components to bus and join wires. There is no need to be a qualified automotive electrician, but you should understand electrics
• be able to prepare a truck auto electrical wiring harness
