About BTP:

BTP forms part of the Perenti Group and is one of Australia’s largest suppliers of new and used parts and equipment for hire and sale. BTP has supported the mining, earth-moving, and construction industries for over 30 years.

BTP is currently seeking experienced Auto Electricians for our Hazelmere workshop in Perth. Be part of the CAT 785 rebuild project. Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday work if required. We are offering a casual role with great remuneration.

Experience / Qualifications required:

  • Auto Electrical Trade Certificate 
  • Ideally have experience rebuilding CAT dump trucks
  • 3-5yrs post apprenticeship onsite experience of working on CAT, Hitachi or Komatsu mine site equipment highly regarded
  • Experience in electrical and hydraulic fault finding preferred
  • Experience working with Excel, ET and SIS
  • Fork Lift Licence an advantage

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Carry out maintenance, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs as instructed
  • Read and understand electrical schematics
  • Conduct quality repairs and maintenance in a timely and safe manner
  • Liaise with site personal in relation to repairs
  • Understand safety awareness and safe work practices
  • Daily reports
  • Conduct cab repair/overhauls as required
  • Carry out reusability assessments of electrical components
  • Assist in guiding, mentoring and upskilling Apprentices and trainee’s
