WesTrac are looking at another hugely successful year in 2021 with upcoming major projects in the pipeline. As a result of this recent growth, we have permanent opportunities for Plant Mechanics to join our New Machines Department in South Guildford. Roster will be Monday to Friday, 10.5 hour days (inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid meal break) with potential overtime during busy periods.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Plant Mechanic is responsible for assembling & delivering high quality new machine trucks to our customer base, ensuring optimum safety and efficiency throughout the entire build process.

Key Duties:

  • Assisting with new machine assembly / builds
  • Working alongside other trades
  • General workshop housekeeping duties

To be successful the following is required:

  • Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Current Forklift Licence & Working at Heights Tickets desirable
  • Current Drivers Licence (HR Desirable)
  • Experience working with a range of Heavy Mobile Equipment
  • Caterpillar product knowledge highly regarded
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Dedicated commitment to Safety & Quality Assurance
  • Ability to work within a team & autonomously
  • Dedicated to fulfilling internal and external customer requirements
