JOB DESCRIPTION
- $135,000 Base Salary Permanent Position
- 8/6 Roster FIFO Perth
- Private Health Care + Bonuses on offer
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report all defects or repairs as required.
- All work undertaken is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with standard workplace practices and procedures.
- Maintenance and breakdown repairs of fixed plant electrical infrastructure, dewatering infrastructure and telemetry are completed to a high standard.
- Routine inspections of fixed plant equipment and carry out preventative measures.
- Fault-finding, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of electrical components as required.
- Diagnose faults, inspect and test equipment and carry out basic condition monitoring.
- Liaise closely and maintain effective communication with Electrical Supervisor and other key Stakeholders.
- Attend daily pre-start meeting to ensure effectiveness communication and handovers between crews with regards to electrical maintenance plans and issues is completed in detail.
- Rigorous cost management. Avoid rework and unnecessary use of parts/services.
- Continuously review scheduled jobs to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Highlight equipment defects and issues effectively utilising the electrical management process.
- Carry out and provide input to the development of and follow SOP’s/JHA’s/FLRA’s ensuring risks are mitigated, and safety standards are met. Undertake team-based risk assessments as required.
- Ensure correct history is collected and effectively recorded.
- Ensure correct electrical testing is completed to comply with standards and that all documentation is recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
- Update all registers and drawings on completion of all task/installation prior end of shift.
Safety
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company and industry safety standards and legislative requirements.
- Report all safety incidents to the Electrical Supervisor immediately.
- Actively participate in mine safety initiatives and programs as required.
- Wear appropriate PPE relative to each task undertaken.
- Strict adherence to health & safety and environmental standards, requirements and controls, ensuring the level of incidents and accidents are kept to an absolute minimum.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company and industry safety standards and legislative requirements.
- Active participation in safety initiatives; JHA development and reviews.
- Display a clear commitment to safety and health, and seek to eliminate or control the risks of injury and/or damage to equipment.
- Operate in accordance with and comply the Company’s Safety and Health Policy, and with all site policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Proactive involvement with continuous OHS improvement processes.
- Active participation in all communication and awareness systems.
Environmental
- Display a clear commitment to responsible environmental management.
- Operate in accordance with the Company’s Environment Policy, and comply with other site environmental policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Manage all activities in a manner that prevents pollution and minimises damage to the natural environment.
- Minimises waste generation through reduced consumption and increased re-use and recycling.
Stakeholder Management
- Operate in accordance with Company’s Stakeholder Policy.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE PROFILE
- Electrical Trade Qualification
- Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
Desired Experience & Competencies
- Demonstrated application of safe working procedures and inspection techniques
- Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude maintaining processing plants - crushing, milling, CIL, elution circuits and remote pumping systems
- Minimum 4 years in an electrical maintenance mining environment
- HV switching ticket
- Demonstrate safe operation of mobile equipment
- National Police Clearance
