About the company

Independent and successful Structural Steel Fabrication & Metal Works company with an established history in QLD for over 13+ years.

With projects in and around Brisbane and SEQ the company requires a Site Manager to manage Steel and Metal Work project sites.
They provide steel products to Tier 2 clients in the Building and Construction industries including Structural Steel and Metal Works. Projects range from government facilities, hospitals, schools through to commercial buildings and the like.

About the role

Ensure that every project is erected safely and has been coordinated with KPI’s being achieved according to budgets and scope of work.

You will be responsible for ensuring projects are successfully erected with QA, variations and client welfare positively managed.

It is expected this will be done by proactively engaging with the builder, riggers, site coordinators detailer and staff (both office and site based) to ensure a successful outcome for each project.

Skills and experience required

• Previous experience as a Site Supervisor / Manager
• Strong experience of Building Construction and Structural Steel erection and metal works.
• Strong ability to manage site-based staff and project deliverables
• Ability to understand drawings, variation paperwork, budgets etc.
• Strong communication abilities with builders, staff, clients and project stakeholders
• Advantage: Rigging understanding
• Advantage: Boilermaker / Welding or Structural Steel Fabrication understanding
