Required skills and experience:

• Relevant Electrical Trade qualification plus 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Must have Rail Industry worker card and Rail experience (minimum one year).
• Must have full clean driving licence.
• Must be capable of passing drug and alcohol screening.
• Experience in project management is desirable.
• Experience in instrumentation is essential.
• Must be to willing to work with our civil team when needed.
• Track mounted operator ticket for driving Hi-rail vehicles is a bonus.
• Must have excellent computer skills e.g., familiar with Microsoft 365.
• Must have electrical testing experience.
• Strong fault-finding abilities
• Ability to read & interpret electrical schematics diagrams.
• Ability to work outdoors in a remote environment.
• Basic understanding of IT systems- SCADA, GIS, Various monitoring systems.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• At all times, do all things reasonable to ensure the health and safety of themselves and others on the work site.
• Ensure the delivery of maintenance activities are focused on achieving contractual requirements around reliability & performance.
• Maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation and compliance of operational procedures.
• Ensure that all work activities are undertaken in accordance with regulations, policies, company practices, processes, and standards.

Jobs Roles

• Commercial Electrical wiring /reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Installation of electrical conduits, cable pits, signal bases and posts for track side equipment.
• Cable pulling.
• Termination of Trackside equipment, signal locations, transformers, backup generators and grid earthing systems
• Cable and electrical installation testing.
• Experience of been around heavy equipment (interaction of personal and mobile plant safety)
• Must be flexible to work weekends and night shifts.
