JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Signalling Asset Renewals team carry out rail signalling construction and renewals works throughout the entire Queensland Rail Network including regional Queensland from our base of operations at the Qantas Drive Multi User Depot, located in the Brisbane Airport precinct.

As the Signalling Construction Officer you will facilitate and ensure the allocation and deployment of resources including personnel, vehicles, equipment, rosters and travel arrangements are organised for various projects around the SEQ and Regional Network.

At times you will be expected to work in the field with the team to participate in carrying out the installation, testing, and commissioning of signalling equipment and installations during preparatory and commissioning works closures.

When in the field you will be expected to supervise the installation and ensure the safety and integrity of the work performed during all phases of construction and ensure any alterations to the workplan are actioned as required.

The team will look to you for support and direction while working to deliver defined project schedules within the allocated project time constraints.

You will use the EAMS system within SAP and Work Manager to dispatch workorder notifications and task lists to the team. You will also use varied Microsoft Office programs to manage and provide regular updates on the project progress, alterations and reporting.

You will be expected to work regularly on weekends in SEQ, and away works in the Regional Network areas dependant on current project commitments. When working regionally you can expect a 10 on 4 off roster, travel allowance and penalty rates apply.

Base entry salary is $88,700 plus shift, working away penalties, overtime and a generous superannuation scheme (up to 12.75%).

To be considered for this opportunity you must hold the following:
Certificate 4 in Rail Signalling
Electrical Mechanic Licence
Low Voltage Rescue
Provide CPR 12 months

We are looking for experience in signalling (maintenance or construction) planning, team leadership and SAP.
