We are currently seeking a Maintenance Fitter on day shift within the manufacturing industry for one of our clients. Our client is a global leader in the packaging sector, they have been in business for over 70 years with over 100 sites across Australia. They supply global companies across the world with their products and productions we all touch every day.

These roles are in the Clayton area.

This role is varied, and you will be required to support all areas of the production operations where required. Please read the below careful and only apply if you meet these criteria as listed.

About you and your main duties will include but not be limited to:

• Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter
• Carry out preventative maintenance and break-down tasks
• Experience with fault identification and excellent problem-solving skills
• Setting up of plant equipment and troubleshooting breakdowns or jams
• Provide technical support to the production team when required
• Welding and fabrication experience is a must
• Proven commitment to WHS and maintaining a safe work environment
• Prove ability to work on a high speed \ fast-paced production line environment
• Ability to assist in the day to day efficient running of plant machinery
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Able to follow tasks and take direction
• Be physically fit
• Must have full working rights within Australia with no limitations
