In the past 5 years MinterEllison's Projects, Infrastructure & Construction team has been the lead advisor on more than 150 nationally significant construction and infrastructure projects and disputes. We are focussed on providing end-to-end legal support on infrastructure projects – from project structuring, advice on procurement options, financing, tender strategy, contract documentation and negotiation through to contract administration, maintenance issues and dispute resolution.

We offer our clients an end to end solution which allows us to see the project from conception until completion. The team also has a busy dispute resolution practice, including litigation in all superior courts, domestic and international arbitration, and adjudication.

In this role you will work alongside Partner Ben Fuller and his team, who are operating on a truly national basis from the Canberra base, including by leading major development and construction projects in New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, the Northern Territory, and the Australian Capital Territory. However, there will also be close contact with other leading lawyers working in the broader national team on large scale projects.

An opportunity currently exists in our Canberra office for a Senior Associate with strong front end property and construction experience to join our national team. This work involves early stage advisory work in structuring major projects as well as drafting and negotiation for major development and infrastructure projects and general construction matters. There are also a range of broader property, planning, and environment advisory elements which are connected with the significant precinct development projects which are in progress.
