ROC Consulting are recruiting on behalf of a Roma based agricultural equipment dealer. The company is a well-known employer of choice that operates all throughout QLD and NSW, and exclusively represent several OEM brands. We're currently looking for one or more qualified Diesel Fitters/ Ag Mechanics.

Position

We seek an experienced Mechanic with a trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, or Ag Mechanic. The role has the below responsibilities:

• Provide technical and hands-on support for delivery of new plant
• Attending breakdowns or scheduled maintenance and servicing calls
• Fault-finding on both simple and complex machinery
• Make recommendations to customers as to potential upgrades to plant & equipment
• Very few to no weekend work

Benefits

• Full-time role 38 per week + additional overtime
• $35 - $45/ hr based on experience

Candidate

This role is technical, autonomous and hands on role. The appropriate candidate will hold a relevant trade certificate and have experience working with heavy equipment.

Ideal experience is as listed below:

• Knowledge heavy diesel equipment, ideally tractors and other agricultural equipment OR
• Trucks, earthmoving or mining equipment
• Competent motor mechanic or diesel fitter
• Experience with maintenance, emergency breakdowns and fault-finding
• Autonomous and self-motivated
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Customer focused w/ good communication
