What's on offer

Plant Operator - Grader Level 6 ($59,994 including site allowance) + super
You'll safely operate a grader and other plant of varying types and sizes at a medium to high skill level to deliver the branch annual road and drainage construction and maintenance works, in accordance with Council's Corporate Plan.

To be employed in this role you'll need demonstrated experience with plant and equipment, and an ability to conduct routine checks on heavy vehicles, plant and equipment including fault finding and preventative maintenance. You'll be competent in the operation of heavy machinery such as a grader and other plant of varying types and sizes, be able to read and interpret plans, and use either simple levelling devices or GPS control systems to carry out levelling.

Plant Operator - Loader Operator - Level 5 ($58,475 including site allowance) + super
You'll provide the safe operation of a backhoe, roller, wheel loader and other plant of varying types and sizes at a medium to a high skill level to deliver the Branch's annual road and drainage construction and maintenance works, in accordance with Council's Corporate Plan.

To be employed in this position you'll need demonstrated experience with plant and equipment, and an ability to conduct routine checks on heavy vehicles, plant and equipment including fault finding and preventative maintenance.
Experience and competence in the operation of heavy machinery such as a backhoe, roller, wheel loader and other plant of varying types and sizes is a must.

Truck Driver (truck and dog) - Level 4 ($58,475 including site allowance) + super
You'll provide the safe operation of trucks, and labouring activities, as part of a multi-disciplined team that is responsible for the construction and maintenance of Council's road and drainage infrastructure assets, in accordance with Council's Corporate Plan.

To be employed in this position you'll need a current HC or MC Australian Driver's Licence along with a demonstrated ability in truck driving duties associated with the maintenance and construction of roads, paved areas and drainage facilities.

Team Member - Level 2 ($56,343 including site allowance) + super
You'll work within a cohesive operational team that delivers high quality road, drainage maintenance and construction work in a safe manner.

To be employed in this role you'll need sound knowledge of manual handling procedures and cope with physical labour, able to operate small items of plant including quick cut saws and power tools, have a willingness to learn and be reliable, honest and committed. Attributes which are highly desirable in these positions include a current HR or MR driver's license, experience in concrete finishing and/or tickets to operate various plants.
