The Role

The position is responsible for the servicing, repair and maintenance of the company's mobile plant equipment, heavy vehicle equipment as well as fault finding and diagnostics to assist the prevention of break downs or unexpected down time of machinery. At times, you will be working autonomously within your role, and therefore must show initiative and a strong understanding of the plant located on site. The position must be responsible for the work completed and to work safely to ensure there are no accidents or incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tertiary/T.A.F.E. Appropriate trade qualification - Cert 3 Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent)
  • Experience with all makes of trucks, trailers and tankers
  • Excellent fault finding skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Experience keeping organised paperwork and job cards.
  • A proven commitment to working safely and compliance with all site safety standards.
  • A pro-active approach to safety to yourself and others
  • Successful candidates must be fit to work in all weather conditions for extended periods consistent with site operations.

Skills & Experience

  • Opportunity for flexible roster currently 2 weeks on and 1 week off, Consists of:1 week day shift 6.00am to 6.00pm
  • 1 week night shift 6.00pm to 6.00am
  • 1 week off


  • 12 hour shifts
  • $50.59 per hour (flat rate)
  • 14.5% superannuation
