About the role...
The firm now has an opportunity within their highly regarded Construction practice for a proven Construction Lawyer, to handle mainly front-end matters working alongside an accessible Partner and the broader team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting & advising commercial clients in relation to large-scale often landmark property, infrastructure & development projects (including PPP's); 
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating all types of project documents, eg. construction contracts, tenders and consultant agreements, bank side deeds etc. and providing advice on contract administration etc.

• Proven construction experience (ideally at SA level) eg. in matters of procurement incl. construct only, design and construct, managing contractors, alliancing, PPPs etc.; 
• Solid understanding of industry standard contracts and associated risk allocation; preparing tender contract documents; review/analyse those of others;
• Sound knowledge of relevant acts and related regulations.
• Assisting with contract negotiations, client management/development;
• Be comfortable in working autonomously, within a team providing mentoring to less experienced colleagues and able to multi-task to effectively manage competing priorities.
