Who You Are

We are seeking someone with construction industry experience, ideally with experience in the issues surrounding docket handling and processing. You can empathise with the pain points surrounding dockets, drawing on your construction background to present practical solutions to prospective customers.

The Role

In this role you will own the sales process for small to medium enterprise customers, working with leads generated through existing marketing and sales channels.

You will talk to potential customers, gaining an in-depth understanding their pain points, needs and expectations, and presenting compelling solutions based on Docketbook’s product offerings.

  • Manage the sales process. You will be involved in opportunities to further automate and optimise the sales process.
  • Consulting with potential customers. Most sales conversations are over telephone and video conference, however, meeting face to face is also encouraged.
  • Capture and share customer feedback and insights into the construction industry
  • Working with the customer success team to improve the customer journey, and ensuring successful handover of new sales to the onboarding team
  • Focus on sustainability of accounts rather than sort term sales numbers
  • Teamwork - we are a close-knit team and support and learn from each other. As a growing team, we rely on each other to bring diverse expertise, opinions and viewpoints to customer experience, business processes and product improvement. Skills Required

  • A construction background is preferred, as this will bring significant credibility to the sales process. Industry insight will help in understanding customer problems and proposing solutions that work within our industry. Ideally, direct experience in handling dockets or managing the process within a contractor or supplier company
  • Sales and software industry experience is a bonus but is not required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Solutions-oriented. Our solution is flexible to customer needs. After thoroughly understanding a potential customer's need, it will be important to be able to understand which Docketbook features would be most relevant to a prospective customer
  • Good administration skills. The role will use Hubspot to manage and progress sales leads. Training will be provided, but experience with using project/relationship management software is an advantage.
