UGL | Altrad have been awarded a contract for Brownfields Onshore Implementation Services for Woodside. Services to be provided include the detailed planning and execution of access, fire protection application, blasting and painting, cladding and insulation, mechanical, pipe-spool equipment replacement and electrical services.

The Role and Requirements

UAJV are seeking an experienced Rigging & Cranes Coordinator to join our site team on a reputable project in Karratha. The successful applicant will commence in April 2021 and will be a part of an exciting project where your skills and experience will be key in succeeding more work for on-going opportunities!

This position attracts a fixed-term contract until December 2021, with fulltime entitlements working a 2 week on, 2 weeks off roster. Perth point of hire candidates only to be considered.

Main Activities

  • Provide site-based coordination including safe delivery, planning, managing, and controlling delivery
  • Provide leadership and direction across the site project team
  • Manage and schedule the activities of direct reports on-site
  • Liaise with the implementation coordinators, project engineers and superintendents to modify design in systems and methodology to enhance delivery
  • Resolve day to day on-site coordination challenges and refer incidents of major nature to the Site Manager immediately
  • Liaise with the client and sub-contractors on all aspects of delivery and develop good working relationships with all stakeholders on site
  • Ensure all project reporting is issued on-time to the Support Services team
  • Ensure relevant personnel are aware of obligations under the Project Plans and that the risk management process is clearly understood
  • Input to and review upcoming scopes of work to ensure safe delivery of execution
  • Attend all project meetings and engage in pre-start meetings, focussing on quality of message delivery and participation
Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this position, you must possess resource industry experience along with:
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising teams on large scale construction projects within the Oil & Gas industry
  • Formal Recognised Advanced Rigging Qualification and High-Risk License
  • Hold a nationally accredited OHS Card (White/Blue Card)
  • Ability to work in an environment of heavy activity and rapidly changing circumstances
  • Responsible, flexible and an excellent communicator
  • Strong leadership and seasoned people management skills
  • Background or previous experience working in an industrial contacting environment
  • Ability to pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
