The FLANDERS ARDVARC© control system is at the forefront of mining technology, delivering unrivalled safety and fleet optimization in complex mining environments without the requirement of an operator. We are experiencing ever increasing demand in Australia and around the globe for our ARDVARC© autonomous drill control system in open cut mining.

Main Role Activities:

  • Driving performance of the ADS, maximising drill pen rates, effective hours & drill metres
  • Aligning ADS standards and best practices between sites
  • Provide regular input to the Product Development Team for software changes
  • Coordinate the Remote After-Hours Support Team and functionality, manned 24/7 for Global coverage
  • Review and update maintenance tasks, system checks and statutory tests as required
  • Provide technical services as it relates to routine and moderately complex maintenance and/ or repair of control systems and their components
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose the root cause of system issues during operation and deployments by supporting, training and coaching other employees involved in the project
  • Capturing and documenting opportunities for improvements, identifying bugs and material for internal training by creating reports, manuals, presentations
  • Supporting and mentoring employees within the company and ADS mine sites.

Essential Role Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years mine site working experience in Australia or equivalent, with a solid understanding of mining operations
  • Australian recognised qualifications for electrician, auto electrician or engineering
  • Excellent communication skills suitable for working directly with customers
  • Excellent technical report writing skills
  • Instrumentation installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Must be flexible, self-motivated, and have superior customer relationship skills
  • High-level analytical skills for general troubleshooting of product related issues
  • Rockwell PLC Studio 5000 programming and troubleshooting
  • Proficient computer systems, industrial networks & protocols literacy
  • Ability and desire to work overseas as required from time to time

Desired Experience:

  • Mobile mining equipment electrical or mechanical installation and troubleshooting
  • Drills maintenance and drilling fundamentals
  • Hydraulic fluid power and controls experience
  • Mechanical or electrical drafting experience using AutoCAD

Reporting to the Field Service Manager, this role is responsible for drill availability and efficiency for production through preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and product development for the Perth Regional Service Centre (Perth RSC), working a FIFO roster.

A remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with the position and skills.
