Full Job Description

My client requires an experienced manager to manage their paint shop division.

Capel Sandblasters, a Division of RTW Steel Fabrication & Construction, requires an experienced Manager to join and oversee their blast and paint Team to ensure they deliver timely products and service of the highest quality to their Clients.

The position is a hands on one and includes administration responsibilities, business development and promotion to increase their sales.

To be considered, you will need to have a proven background of achieving a high level of performance and experience in the Industrial surface treatment and painting industry.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide on-going direction, mentoring, training and support to the Team

· Implement and maintain cost effective work procedures and systems to achieve optimum performance levels from our Team. Time lines are critical.

· Liaising with the Client on all variations to contract, providing solutions/clarifications regarding work and all the time ensuring changes are documented

· Gain a comprehensive understanding of the scope of work required and the Clients expectation for the Project, both in time and cost

· Establish priorities, allocate resources and monitor progress to ensure timely and cost effective completion of all projects to the highest standards

· Making decisions that are financially responsible, appropriate, timely and justifiable

· Ensuring that all contract issues, time constraints, safety, special construction methods are addressed prior and during the Project.

· Delivering and documenting the highest quality surface treatment which our Clients require.

Key Requirements and Experience

· Strong understanding of safety and environmental managements systems with the ability to strengthen our safety culture

· Proven experience and history of strong leadership skills; a good understanding and knowledge of the daily equipment we use is important

· To be competent and have a sound knowledge and understanding of the documentation process required to manage a business of this nature

· The ideal applicant will have qualifications verifying previous experience in the trade

· Ability to think analytically and strategically to plan ahead for possible future events

· Experience in assessing and tendering jobs/projects accurately

· Knowledge of industrial paints and testing procedures

· Experience in compiling QA documentation to client requirements

The successful applicant has a key role to play in the growth and success of Capel Sandblasters.

Applicants must be able to pass Drug and Alcohol testing.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
