Sky Communications Aust Pty Ltd is a leading technology based installation company in the Telecommunications market, specialising in Cellular, Microwave Radio, Fibre, Data, Transmission deployment and maintenance.

Applications are being sought from experienced Telecommunications Cellular & Microwave Riggers who have relevant certificates and tickets to allow work in Australia.

Responsibilities, Functions and Tasks:

- Experience in leading teams of 2 to 4 riggers to perform the tasks assigned.
- Interpret job specifications follow company policies,procedures making sure works are performed to standard ensuring quality and safety.
- Installation of antenna mounting hardware, steelwork,hangers ,feeder trays and transmission equipment.
- Comprehensive understanding of Antenna Systems, including installation of Microwave, Feeders, Antennas,TMA's, Hyperflex cables and RRU's across multiple vendors / carriers.
- PIM testing, sweep testing, distance to fault, terminating feeders, birdproofing and waterproofing connectors.
- Complete fault finding as required to close out site issues.
- Work with cranes, cherry pickers and EWP's as required to carry out works on site.
- Carry out manual labour of various descriptions to complete the works as required.
- Checking, maintain and operating equipment in accordance with the requirements of safety, efficiency and calibration procedures.

Requirements for the role:

Minimum of 3+ year's experience working in telecommunications rigging.

- Possess basic rigging / dogging ticket at a minimum (Intermediate/Advanced preferred).
- Possess a current Australian driver’s licence.
- Possess a current Industry OH&S White Card.
- Working at Heights.
- Tower Rescue training.
- Able to follow instructions and work with other staff in a team environment.
- Must be flexible - Working away from home and weekends is essential.
- Ability to read drawings and update documentation as required.

Although not a prerequisite to apply, applicants with the following will be highly regarded:

- Senior First Aid training including resuscitation.
- RF Awareness training.
- EWP ticket preferred.
- You will be strong and able, be willing to travel and be physically fit to climb and work on telecommunications structures. You may also be asked to undertake a pre-employment Medical check.

The positions will be of a Permanent nature and will pay above award rates commensurate with the applicant's experience.

The positions will be based in Adelaide with travel to regional areas and other states as required.
