Mike’s Property Maintenance & Construction is looking for an experienced and qualified Electrician to be part of our team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read plans and drawings to carry out the work required

• Prepares the electrical installation layouts

• Prepares all the required materials and tools according to the plans and drawings

• Requisitions the relevant stock and materials as necessary

• Sorts, measures, and cuts the wires, cables, and other electrical components

• Performs the electrical installation including conduit and cable tray systems effectively

• Ensures the appropriate installation of the wiring systems and power cables

• Modifies the electrical circuit and installation if necessary

• Tests AC and DC circuitry ensuring the system performance and evaluates the installation thoroughly

• Ensures that all the system connection to the power supply implemented correctly

• Recommends improvements in the operation where feasible, to improve service, standards, profitability and possibly decrease the running costs

• Ensures that all the system connection to the power supply implemented correctly

• Maintains and be responsible for the site storage containers and tools

• Evaluates the installation thoroughly and carries out tests its final performance

• Assists in the repair and maintenance of all electrical distribution system and electrical equipment

• Assists other electrical staff where required

• Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the site

• Maintains emphasis on quality finish

• Safe and efficient use of all hand and machine tools

• Complies with Occupational Safety and Health work safety standards

• Performs other tasks and reporting as required.

KEY PROFICIENCIES

• Comfortable with working at heights and proficiency in manual handling and use of general hand tools

• An integral part of the role will be working in a team environment and the ability to work autonomously when required.
