Glenorchy is Tasmania’s fourth-largest city with a population of 46,790. The City lies on the western shore of the Derwent River, next to the City of Hobart. We are looking for a suitably qualified Maintenance Mechanic to join the Works Department within a dynamic Council, which will allow you to capitalise on your existing skillset.
The Candidate:
The candidate will be responsible for servicing and maintaining Council’s fleet & plant assets in accordance with Best Practice models, GCC schedules, and procedures.
The role will assist other members within a small workgroup to achieve maintenance and/or fabrication objectives.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have completed a trade qualification as an automotive mechanic/diesel mechanic or equivalent trade, with a minimum of 3 years post trade experience.

Position Hours: Full-time: 38 hours per week, with a 9-day fortnight.
Salary: Schedule B, Salary Point 7: $60,963.69 to $64,315.78 per annum in accordance with Glenorchy City Council’s Enterprise Agreement 2016
