Your New Opportunity
An excellent career opportunity has arisen for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Workshop Team based in Darwin.
This is an attractive and challenging opportunity for the right individual. You will have previous experience working in a Workshop role and be able to deliver quality workmanship and enhance the overall customer experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Diverse field service work including diagnosis, servicing, minor & major repairs on MTU product, together with Detroit and Allison
- Compile high quality field service and job reports to facilitate clear provision of information to customers and/or warranty department
- Report to Branch on details regarding Equipment operating hours and/or any product concerns
- Ability to work cooperatively on sites with both Customer and Equipment suppliers on a daily basis and liaise with maintenance planners to ensure scheduled equipment maintenance is carried out
- Provide technical assistance as required
- Actively contribute towards an ongoing improvement culture in the Safety, Quality and Productivity of the Field Service team
- Uphold the Penske values at all times with a commitment to safe working practices
- Trade Qualification (Diesel Mechanic) or similar
- Extensive experience in the maintenance of mobile equipment in a mining or heavy industry environment – in particular Diesel Engines
- Experience in understanding and interpreting fault code data, electrical fault finding and machine information
- Ability to understand and action technical product information
- Demonstrated skills in understanding customer support requirements
- Detailed practical working knowledge and operation of appropriate Penske machinery, tools and equipment – Truck and On-Highway equipment
