Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a permanent Electrician located in Carrum Downs at the Eastern Treatment Plant.

At this time, we will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/VISA for this region, in place.


  • Understand and work to the site Permit System
  • Carry out small project installation works
  • Plan all work taking into account changing conditions and to report progress accurately
  • Read and understand detailed electrical drawings, or specifications, to plan and complete the task and ascertain the materials and equipment required
  • Carry Out planned Maintenance on Electrical Plant and Equipment, including HV equipment
  • Monitor and Assess the Performance and Condition of Electrical Plant and Equipment

Skills / Qualifications

  • A Grade Electrician
  • Experience with HV Electrical Installation/Maintenance desirable
  • EEHA Hazardous area wiring certification preferred
  • Instrumentation experience desirable
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude
  • A strong safe work ethic, along with an excellent understanding of technical and compliance issue
