Seeking experienced Excavator Operators for various civil and drainage projects around Moree, Narrandera, Forbes and Parkes. Immediate start for projects that vary from 3mths to ongoing.

• $33/hr
• Qualifications / Experience required: Excavator ticket and at least two years’ employment experience in trenching, pipe work, drainage, final trim and working around services. Construction White Card and Drivers Licence essential. Excavator and Posi-track ticket as well as HR license preferable.

Job Objective:

The excavator removes earth or rock down to a previously decided level or

excavation line, to form a hole or trench for drainage pipes and headwalls, manholes or for landscaping work.

Job Tasks and Duties:

• Setting out and installing drainage systems
• Performing site drainage and de-watering procedures
• Locating and clearing blockages
• Excavating and levelling to line, depth and grade
• Installation of Excavation supports
• Interpreting technical drawings
• Excavation for manholes
• Construction of concrete pits
• Compliance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements
• Use of pressure testing equipment, excavators, jackhammers, compaction machinery, compressors, backhoes and dumpers

Skills & Competencies:

• Ability to work in a team
• Willing to work on ground with pipe-laying crew if/when required
• Reliable and hardworking
• Able to pass drug and alcohol testing
• GPS experience, Posi-track ticket & HR licence preferred.
• You will report directly to the foreman, but you will have the ability to prioritise and work unsupervised.
• You must be willing to travel to where the work is, have good working ethics and be reliable.
• Own transport is a must.
• Willing to work on weekends if/when required.
• Wage rate is negotiable, depending on experience.
