Are you a Trade Qualified Electro-Technology Electrician or similar? Do you have knowledge and experience undertaking a broad range of electrical tasks generally related o water and wastewater infrastructure as well as buildings and facilities? Charter Towers Regional Council is looking for you!

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will be required to undertake electrical duties on Council infrastructure including but not limited to buildings, facilities, Water and Wastewater treatment plants and pump stations, as well as associate equipment to ensure the provision of efficient and effective services to Charters Towers Regional Council.

Employment Status: Full Time, Permanent

Award: C10 - C8 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream C) Award – State 2017, depending on qualifications and experience

Salary Range: $2,359.80 - $2,517.80 gross per fortnight.

| Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |

• Demonstrated trade experience in the electrical services industry.
• Demonstrated experience with fault finding on complex electrical systems.
• Good organisational skills, effective time management and the ability to determine work priorities.
• The ability to work under minimal supervision, either individually or as part of a small team.
• Good verbal and written communication skills including the ability to liaise and negotiate with a wide range of people at all levels.
• Ability to safely operate a variety of handheld tools, plant and equipment.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Ability to participate in an afterhours on call roster.

| Essential Education/Qualifications |

• Electrical Trade Qualifications (such as Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician).
• General Safety Induction Certificate (Construction Industry) “Blue/White Card”.
• Low Voltage Rescue Qualification.

| Essential Licences |

• Possession and maintenance of a current Queensland ‘C’ Class Driver Licence.
• Electrical Work Licence (QLD).
