About the Opportunity

Contributing to the safe and efficient delivery and availability of the Collins Class fleet of submarines for the Royal Australian Navy, these opportunities available for qualified and experienced Advanced Riggers will see you utilising your experience to provide essential operating, trades assisting and rigging support to our fast-paced WA operations.

This role is a full time, 18-month fixed term opportunity based out of Henderson, WA.

Key Deliverables of the Position:
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead - Rigging, your role will involve;
Conducting various, complex advanced rigging duties on board the submarines, hardstand and within the workshop environment.
Adhering to and encouraging a strong working safety culture,
Working closely with a dynamic team to provide support to a variety of Trades
Operator duties including assisting with Docking/Undocking of the Collins Class Submarines, Test and Tag of Rigging Equipment and tasks assigned by the Maintenance Lead.

Our Ideal Candidate

High Risk Licence - RA (mandatory)
Forklift Ticket desired but not essential
Dogman and overhead crane tickets are highly desired but not essential
OHS Construction Induction Card (White card)
Experience in a high risk, fast paced environment
Demonstrated experience in conducting advanced rigging duties
Self-starter and willingness to assist in other areas of work as required
Australian Citizenship for eligibility to gain a Defence Clearance
Ability to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements
National Police Clearance
