The Role

Our ACT Customer Support Operations team is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Field Service Engineer to join our collaborative service team based in Canberra. You will be part of a small team servicing our customers in the region and be a part of the broader State-Wide Service Team.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Provide reliable, timely and professional support services for the FXA Product Range to our customers
  • Carry out work activities including hardware / Operating System Software maintenance in the most efficient manner
  • Manage own workload to ensure timely customer support
  • Establish and maintain high customer relations to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain levels of performance consistent with Key Performance Indicators
  • Maintain tools, laptop, stockroom, service manuals and vehicle as required

About you:

  • Previous industry experience in a technical service role
  • An excellent understanding of networking and configuration of machines
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment with minimal supervision
  • A current Australian driver’s license

Desirable skills include:

  • A comprehensive knowledge of digital copying technology, from small desk top printers through to at least the office colour range of MFD’s devices, and ideally also encompassing light production machines
  • Knowledge of FXA’s Office colour/black and white range of products, however training will be provided to the successful candidate
  • IT qualification – Cert IV or equivalent
