The Role

You will be responsible for servicing of equipment in our Canning Vale Workshop and on occasion may be requested to service our equipment and clients onsite.
  • Deliver timely response to emergency breakdowns.
  • Liaise with clients on site.
  • Maintain and adhere to safety standards and Zero harm focus.
  • Provide a professional approach to mechanical solutions and maintenance of equipment.
  • Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
  • dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
  • repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
  • performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
  • reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
  • testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
  • may respond to vehicle breakdown service calls


The Person
  • Relevant Trade Certificate
  • Valid Drivers Licence.
  • Elevated Work Platform licence (highly desirable)
  • Experience working with Diesel Engines and Hydraulic equipment.
  • Experienced in servicing, periodical inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment including, but not limited too.
  • Experience working with Elevated Work Platforms - Lighting Towers and Telehandlers (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrate ability to carry out basic electrical and hydraulic fault diagnosis and rectification
  • Be able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adhere to stringent OHS requirements.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday – 07:00am to 5:00pm.
