Our retail marketing consultant company is looking for a results-driven sales representative to actively seek out and engage customer prospects for the retail exhibition industry within shopping centres across the country. We’re looking for a professional who can quickly absorb and retain product knowledge. The Sales Rep will work directly with team management to ensure that all targets are effectively reached. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment and have prior sales experience in exhibitions/mall space, we want to hear from you.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a sales role in casual leasing is an advantage. 

Sales Representative Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves customers by selling products/services and meeting customer needs.
  • Services existing accounts, obtains bookings, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential clients.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly reports, and monthly sales figures.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional knowledge by attending events.
  • Project planning of all themed events and exhibitions.
  • Over seeing production – Bump in, Merchandising of each exhibition and Bump out
  • Liaising with Centre management and marketing daily.
  • Generating leads.
  • Negotiating all contracts with Centre management.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
  • Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
  • Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
  • Obtaining deposits and balance of payment from clients.
  • Preparing and submitting sales contracts for bookings.
  • Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
  • Maintaining client records.

Sales Representative Qualifications/Skills:

  • Customer service oriented, with the ability to meet sales goals
  • Possess strong ability to prospect, negotiate, and close sales
  • Ability to maintain a neat and presentable personality
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • Strong persistence in dealing with people and not giving up easily
  • Possess self-confidence
  • Strong product knowledge, client relation, and presentation skills
  • Highly self motivated and driven for sales
  • Reliable, hardworking, enthusiastic, with the ability to perform multiple assignments at the same time
  • Proven sales track record and 2-3 years sales experience
  • 2-3 years sales experience in industry and experience in media an advantage
  • Effective communication with customers and shopping centre management, as well as strong follow-up skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work comfortably in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability and willing to work on weekend if needed. ( Once a month on a Saturday at the most)
