JOB DESCRIPTION

Passive Fire Service is seeking for an experienced Construction Project Manager with some background passive fire protection is essential. Candidates with experience in general construction industry would be considered.

We are looking for a dynamic team player, who is not afraid of challenges and who can handle fast paced industry. The successful candidate must report to Victoria Senior Manager, and must be able to manage multiple jobsites while conducting daily activities to ensure business continues to operate in a efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities Includes

  • Leading multiple projects simultaneously, managing delivery and reviewing scope concurrently by ennsuring compliances and high levels of OH&S Standard
  • Ensure highest standard of quality of Work is maintained across the projects enforcing Quality Assurance and Inspection Test Points (ITP’s).
  • Preparing Project documentation includes but not limited to pre-start documents, hand-over documents, procurement registers.
  • Be able to prepare the project schedules in order to avoid any unforeseen delays for timely completion of the contracts.
  • Manage cashflow, project budgeting, claims and forecasting of cashflow.
  • Contract Administration for Live Projects
  • Pricing for upcoming tenders
  • Schedule resources to meet the project deadlines and requirements.
  • Maintaining variation register for ongoing projects and find opportunities to secure more variation works when required.
  • Conducting Inductions, Site Meetings, Toolbox and monthly team meetings to discuss progress of the projects and budgets to ensure targets are met
  • Competent in reading plans
  • Capable of raising RFI’s and RFQ when required
  • Foresee business activities when GM is not available, and ensure projects and business continues to operate as usual.
  • Create in house policies and procedures to processes
  • Monthly Reporting to CEO and Victoria Senior General Manager


Successful Applicant Will Have
  • Appropriate level of education (Preferred Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Construction/Project Management)
  • At least 2 years of experience working and proven successful background in the construction industry
  • Graduates with Research experience in the Passive Fire Industry would be highly considered for the role
  • Strong background in managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Must have excellent communication skills both Verbal and Written.
  • Have ability to build strong rapport and negotiate well with Suppliers and Sub-contractors
  • High level of understanding of Construction techniques, Resource forecasting.
  • Can-do attitude, excellent work ethics and value industry relationships ensure clients are looked after
  • Problem Solving skills which includes might technical issues with consultants, project engineers, architects, clients among others.
