Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Mechanic

The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team at the Port Hedland workshop.

  • The ability to assess mechanical tasks coming into the workshop for maintenance, diagnose faults and prepare a detailed scope of work, including parts
  • Ability to make effective decisions in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to deliver to deadlines and ensure operations are performed safely in accordance with Emeco’s guidelines and cost targets
  • A high level of integrity and accountability
  • Effective time management
About you:
  • Recognised National Trade Qualification
  • Experience and/or recognised training with CAT and Komatsu open pit heavy earth moving equipment
  • High level of understanding of maintenance and reliability principles
  • Experience in a contracting environment and proven customer focus
  • Formal supervisory training highly regarded e.g. Cert IV Front Line Management
