JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Operating Assets business are seeking multiple electrical trade professionals to help ensure we continue to provide safe, reliable and on time trains. These opportunities will be for 3 and a half years with the potential to extend pending business needs.

There is the potential to work across two of our teams, Rollingstock Maintenance at Mayne and Fleet Fitment project at Redbank. These opportunities will have you working for the biggest Rail name in Queensland and contributing to Queensland’s #1 infrastructure project Cross River Rail. You must be flexible to work in both teams and locations.

In the Fleet Fitment project team you will be responsible for the fitment of European Train Control System (ETCS) onboard equipment and associated components to our fleet. You will also maintain and repair associated equipment and components using diagrams and test equipment and be responsible for inputting and reviewing data for workorders. This presents an opportunity for you to apply your knowledge and skills to the introduction of leading-edge rail technology that is new to the Australian rail landscape.

Our Rollingstock Maintenance team provides fleet management, technical support and maintenance services for our City Train fleet. Your typical day will involve carrying out safety critical maintenance on City Network trains including brake testing and maintenance of the CCTV security system as well as repairs to the safety critical electronic control systems on the trains. Also fault detection repairs and carry out electronic, computer and Programmed Logic Controller (PLC) related repairs.

Hours:

Project Team: Monday to Friday on a rotating roster which will include day shift (0600 – 1400) and afternoon shift 1400 – 2200). No weekends required, offering work/life balance.

Maintenance Team: 24/7 4 week rotating roster which will include day shift (0600 – 1530) and afternoon shift (1500 – 0030). Within the rotation days off will range from 2 to 6 in a row providing great work/life balance. In addition, overtime is required from time to time to meet business needs.

We are looking for electrical experience with inspections (fault finding) and repair on rollingstock or heavy mobile plant, an Aviation background will be well suited. Experience with electronics is desirable.

You must hold a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Licence.

Base salary is $61,000 plus superannuation and penalties with the potential annual total $117,000 plus superannuation.
