Kenny Constructions have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Construction Project Manager for a large project in Sydney.

Kenny Constructions (Aust) Pty. Ltd. are a dynamic, mid-tier quality assured contractor with a proven track record in successfully delivering civil, structural and mine associated concrete packages since 1998. We specialise in formwork, steel-fixing and concrete placement and currently employ in excess of 300 professionals, skilled tradesmen and trade assistants.

To be successful in this role you must have the following:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A high level of analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • The ability to deal with complex financial and budgetary situations
  • A methodical approach to planning and attentive record-keeping skills
  • To be highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks at once
  • To have an up to date understanding of legislative and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in English
  • A minimum of 4 years work experience in a similar, project-based engineer position in the civil construction industry
  • Bachelors degree in a construction related field

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:

  • Implement thorough construction activities and ensure IMS is communicated to all
  • Gain a full understanding and working knowledge of the Company’s Integrated

Management system, policies and procedures.

  • Tracking quantities of work completed on site to be submitted for weekly tracking/monthly progress Claim submission (monthly)
  • Ensure working knowledge of IMS system which includes – Safety/Environmental and Quality
  • Managing weekly purchases/orders /and submit to office
  • Managing subcontractors (if used)
  • Interpret plans and estimate quantities of materials needed
  • Plan construction methods and procedures
  • Ensuring Foremen submit weekly time sheets for labour to office for payment and cost tracking.
  • Ensuring production rates are maintained and costs are controlled.
  • Coordinate the supply of labour and materials
  • Supervise sites and direct foremen/leading hands and subcontractors to make sure standards of work performance, quality and safety are maintained
  • Study building contract documents and negotiate with main contractor.
  • Control costs and the documentation for contract works
  • Consult with main contractor’s site personnel and other technical workers to make sure that design intentions are met.
